I was going to write you a straightforward journal entry.
But then I thought: 'What would Jesus do?'
So instead I wrote a confusing story.
One upon a time there was a little cat who could do anything, really, except maybe five or seven things but they probably weren't very important anyway. Oh, and he wasn't very good at talking to people.
One day the little cat decided to do things! So it started to write and draw and do all kinds of interesting things!
But then the next day it was a little older and had learned some more things and didn't like the things it had been doing that much anyway, so it tossed them aside and started some new things! And the new things started and they were pretty cool too!
But then the next day it looked at the things it was doing and it said, these things are silly! I should be doing more interesting things. So it stopped doing those things. It started some new things instead!
A raven was watching the little cat. It flew down. It asked, little cat, what are you doing?
Things! said the cat.
And what are these? asked the raven.
Old things. I am doing new things now, said the cat.
Are you going to finish these things? asked the raven.
Of course! said the cat.
Have you ever finished any of these other things? asked the raven.
I suppose not. But this is different! said the cat.
As they were talking, the little cat dropped one of its things and reached for a new one.
Are you going to finish what you just dropped? asked the raven
Of course! Just, later. After this one, said the cat.
Of course.
And then the raven left.
And the little cat picked up the discarded thing.
