starsilver sparking from restless waters
& scattering, shattering like broken glass
like a smashed mirror into dripping razor shards
as sharp as they are true -
cloudchoked moonlight blazing
blazing murky & dark & pouring
torrential to fill my parched eyes
till moonlight pounds in my ears
& pulses in my veins -
cool dusky midnight breath blowing
high and wild, whipping unseen clouds to lather
& higher, sends the stars themselves tumbling -
fans my heart's cold fire to ecstatic heights
till i am all skinwrapped argent flame &
clothed in night's embrace -
- so i walk softly
over shards of sharp reflections
& i am not afraid
So. I've been quiet for a while; haven't been posting much, or, honestly, writing much besides these poem type things since i finished my summer coursework for that travels study. Then after that i had trouble getting back into the rhythm of things, and just recently I finished reading through a pile of World of Darkness core books and source books (i'm playing a couple of games with
feathertail and
rev_yurodivy ).
I've also been super-busy with school and work... but then again, this 'super-business' has involved an awful lot of sitting around at school waiting for my next class or for work to start >.> time which i really could be using for writing stuff. I'm going to try to finish Cremation soon, because while i've lost steam on it i still basically care about the story, and i also feel like i need closure on it before i can properly try to develop the world any further with more stories (and i do think i have at least the seed for another one.)
Also, i'm in a women's lit seminar class this semester which is probably going to involve a lot of really interesting reading, so i might feel motivated to post a few essays on gender issues and stuff like that up here. no promises though. >.>;
