OH MAN IS IT BAD >.> They made the main character the most airheaded blonde in history to the point where it's kinda insulting that girls are supposed to relate to her, they made an effeminate male villain female, and they made lesbian couple 'sisters' while TOTALLY FAILING TO REMOVE THE ROMANTIC OVERTONES >.<; Also everyone has horrible voices and or accents. And Serena (the blonde) once says 'You're acting like a granola bar." And every episode ends with this PSA 'sailor says' thing taken right out of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. On the upside, it's SO bad it kinda pushes through to the point where you can laugh at it >.>
And the darkness cards aren't reeeeeeally evil <.< it's just another element. The bad guy's gimmick where he sucks the will to play out of his opponents was just cause he was a mean guy. It still sorta made sense that the main character shouldn't switch from his fire element deck just cause a dark deck beat him. Thus far no sucking of souls has happened but we're still near the beginning ^-^
