Elsewhere, beneath a pale yellow sky, a Dreamer stood at the window of his emerald tower and gazed out on the clouds below. He gestured with one hand as if opening a curtain, and the view changed. A row of gray stones and black asphalt set against a backdrop of vivid green. A figure, caught between two worlds. An appropriate point to link the green fabric of one world to the green of the next with a slender chartreuse thread. The Dreamer reached through with window with a strand of emerald will, then gently he closed the figure's eyes, saying "Now sleep that later you may wake."
I am working on a story again. It is technically the same story as the webcomic i've been planning for months. I have vague plans to add illustrations, but overall i think the process of telling a story through pictures entirely by myself is a bit too slow and labour-intensive for me to keep up with, at least while i still have school. So i'm at least starting this thing as a somewhat-episodic arc of short stories which may at some point have pretty pictures added in.
I've summarized the overall story already, but i have a shorter summary now. Awakening is about the process of waking a sleeping dragon. I suppose you could also consider it a transformation story, both in the literal sense of a story with TF in it and the more significant one of a story about finding out who you really are.
Its about dragons and mythical creatures, and a sort of magic, and the fate of a world. Eventually i have high hopes i'll be able to get at least a dozen or so people to actually read it. >.>;
